This week we pimped our Epson Inkjet B500DN ;-) But first, a few facts about our loyal press and the printer cartridges.
The printer is available in our office and prints currently a high volume of invoices, delivery notes and other office correspondence. For office work, the Epson printer is well equipped: a large paper tray, a second paper tray (150-sheet feeder at the top and a 500-sheet cassette), a well-functioning duplex unit and a network connection is also on board.
The Epson B500DN we bought mainly because of the low cost of printing, we print hundreds of pages a day. Even with the Epson original cartridges, it prints cheaper than most color laser printers. Moreover, let huge Epson ink cartridges up to 198 ml using content, which eliminates the frequent change cartridges. The largest black cartridge for text printing has a range of approximately 8,000 pages at 5% coverage.
The largest color cartridges do with your 100 ml ink according to Epson proud 7,000 pages. The range corresponds to the side of a very ordinary color laser printer. Another wear part one waste ink tank is installed, which has to be at approximately 35,000 pages the first time change. This container, the ink sucked from the cleaning runs on into a sponge. That's about it, which accumulate as maintenance costs. Since we naturally try to save printing costs and in addition conserve loving like the environment, we have been searching for refill options and have found the perfect solution for us.

Looking for a refill option we found special blank cartridges that can be easily filled with refill. The cartridges are transparent, and each have a stopper for the air and ink hole. Since there are no compatible chip for Epson original cartridges, we have got a suitable chip resetter so. With these chips resetter can the Epson original cartridges reset it to full. Another advantage is that these empty cartridges accommodate 300 ml refill ink.
Dadaurch we create approximately 12,000 pages with the Schwazpatrone and the approximately 21,000 pages per color cartridge. These empty cartridges are longer due to the higher capacity in the course design as the original Epson cartridges, and therefore also a little further out of the printer. That does not and is therefore fabricated for us, not a disadvantage. In the picture you can see very well the difference to the original Epson cartridge.
